Visiting Artist Series: Bob Farmer

Boulder is teeming with incredible artists. At Two Hands, we have the pleasure of chatting with many of them that pass through our door, and we would like to introduce you to some of our favorites. In our brand new, Visiting Artist Series, we’re bringing some of these artists right into the store to work and play. They’ll set up a temporary studio space and are available to discuss their work, their process, and answer any questions you may have.

Our first Visiting Artist was Bob Farmer, who worked in our store space Friday, September 7. Bob is a client of Imagine! in Boulder. The mission of Imagine! is to create and offer innovative support to people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical, and health related needs so they may live fulfilling lives of independence and quality in their homes and communities. Bob has been with Imagine! for nearly 30 years.

You’d be hard pressed to find Bob without his string. If he is, on the rare occasion lacking a ball of string, he’ll create his own by pulling apart his sweater. Our newest window display highlights Bob, and his love of string. His string art will be on display through the month of September, so hurry in before it’s gone.

Our next Visiting Artist is Heather Cherry. You can catch her working on her fabulous paper dresses on Friday, October 12 from 2-5. Stop in to pepper her with questions and watch her artistic process!
